GSC CINEMA
There are 23 GSC cinemas in Malaysia including East Malaysia. They are Mid Valley Megamall, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, 1 Utama, Berjaya Times Square, The Summit USJ, Cheras Leisure Mall, IOI Mall, Alamanda in Putrajaya, Shaw Centrepoint in Klang, Terminal 1 in Seremban, Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan in Malacca, Berjaya Megamall in Kuantan, Pelangi Leisure Mall in Johor Bahru, Gurney Plaza, Queensbay Mall, Gurney Plaza and Sunway Carnival in Penang, Central Square in Sungai Petani, Ipoh Parade in Ipoh, 1 Borneo in Kota Kinabalu and the latest one in Tropicana City Mall which is the latest mall in Petaling Jaya.
The first GSC cinema to operate in Malaysia was opened in Kota Kinabalu on 14 July 1981. With the opening of the 8-screen cinema exclusively in Tropicana City Mall on June 23, 2009, GSC operates the largest circuit with a total of 172 screens in 24 locations, all of which are located in prime sites in major cities and towns throughout the country
The GSC in Gurney Plaza is the first multiplex outside the Klang Valley and the first to house a Premiere Class screen followed by Berjaya Times Square & 5 GSC SIGNATURE @ THE GARDENS in Kuala Lumpur. Mid Valley, 1 Utama, THE GARDENS and Pavilion houses Gold Class screens.
There are also international movies shown in selected GSC cinemas. Currently, there are only 3 International Screens in Malaysia. They are in Mid Valley, 1 Utama and Gurney Plaza.
TGV CINEMA
The biggest TGV cinema is located in Sunway Pyramid, with 12 screens and 2598 seats. It had been undergoing renovations, and now has an additional 2 screens, up from the previous amount of 10 screens. The second largest TGV cinema is TGV Suria KLCC with 12 screens and 2400+ seats. It was previously the largest TGV cinema in Malaysia, before being surpassed by the one in Sunway Pyramid.
