In electric and hybrid electric vehicles, the power supply and component connection of high-voltage cables play a special role. The supplier has developed different types of product series for this purpose. The high-voltage cable transfers the current from the charging socket to the battery, and then from there to the motor through the inverter. They serve the internal wiring of the battery and provide energy for other high-voltage components such as air conditioning compressor or electric heating. This makes them the core of power electronics and high-voltage wiring systems.
The use of high-voltage cables in the electrical system of vehicles equipped with alternative drives puts forward high requirements for the design of cables, their electrical, mechanical, thermal and chemical properties and the materials used. The cable supplier's product series meets these requirements as well as high safety standards and strict market requirements, and conforms to ISO, SAE, JASO, and other series of standards.
The cable has stable and reliable electrical performance and excellent heat resistance. The continuous working temperature range is - 40 to 150 ℃, and even 200 ℃ in a short time. According to the manufacturer, they have also reached an excellent level in terms of electromagnetic compatibility and mechanical strength. Other properties are mechanical flexibility and wear resistance.
Select special insulating materials (fluoropolymer, thermoplastic elastomer, cross-linked polymer, XLPE/PVC, etc.) for high-voltage applications.
High-voltage cables include single-core and multi-core versions, which are mainly copper conductors, and of course are divided into shielded and unshielded high-voltage cables, depending on the application. Various designs can be implemented according to a wide range of customer requirements.
