I do teach Spanish classes at the local public library. As I begin to teach the adult students, they ask me many questions and one of them is: "Teacher, how can I learn or improve in the language I'm learning?" I tell the new comer that the secret is knowing the 'sounds' of the language. Of knowing those letters and how they actually sound. Individual letters or a combination of letters. Know their sounds. Pronunciation is crucial to any language. For once you know how those letters sound and become familiar with the sounds then pronouncing them becomes a breeze. So, try your own language learning program and focus more than ever knowing the vowels, consonants, diphthongs and alphabet. Like that you'll master the language by way of pronunciation. It never fails.
