In electric and hybrid vehicles, the power supply and component connection of high-voltage cables play a special role. Suppliers have developed different types of product lines for this purpose. The high-voltage cable transmits the current from the charging socket to the battery, and then from there to the motor through the inverter. They serve the internal wiring of the battery and provide energy for other high-voltage components such as air conditioning compressor or electric heating. This makes them the core of power electronics and high-voltage cabling systems.
The cable has stable and reliable electrical performance and very good heat resistance. The continuous working temperature range is - 40 to 150 degrees, and even 200 degrees in a short time. According to the manufacturer, they have also reached an excellent level in terms of electromagnetic compatibility and mechanical strength. Other properties are mechanical flexibility and wear resistance.
Select special insulating materials (fluoropolymer, thermoplastic elastomer, cross-linked polymer, XLPE/PVC, etc.) for high-voltage applications.
High voltage cables include single core and multi-core versions. Copper based conductors are used. Of course, there are shielded and unshielded high-voltage cables, depending on the application. Various designs can be implemented according to a wide range of customer requirements.
