Industrial power supply with a voltage of 3,000-11,000 volts is called high-voltage power; and usually, power supply with a voltage of 250 volts and above is called high-voltage power.
In addition, the AC voltage at 1000 volts or more or DC voltage at 1500 volts or more of the electrical connection line for high-voltage electricity.
AC low voltage below 1000 volts or DC voltage below 1500 volts for low-voltage electricity.
Safety voltage does not exceed AC 36 volts, DC 50 volts. Power systems in the 1000 kV special and above AC voltage level for extra-high voltage power supply, usually only used as a large power long-distance transmission lines, because it can reduce the energy dissipation in the transmission process. The voltage used in different areas is different. In order to reduce the loss of electricity in the transmission process, the current must be reduced, and to ensure that the total power remains unchanged, the voltage size should be increased appropriately, after the step-down substation, and finally reach the customer's home.
Compared to the ordinary power supply, high-voltage electricity has its own special hazards. High-voltage electrocution has two special circumstances: one is the high-voltage arc electrocution. Second is the step voltage electrocution. Because the voltage is very high, it is easy for people to die from electrocution.
Also, note. As opposed to new energy electric vehicles using high-voltage harness cable: the national standard voltage 200-750V, but the specific according to the car factory design voltage as the standard, and 110V. Pure electric car high-voltage electricity is generally in about 400V, micro cars because of less power, the voltage platform is slightly lower, about 200 more than V; larger cars are between 300 ~ 500V.
